The Faux Bois works of Dionicio Rodriguez.
Dionicio Rodriguez was a Mexican artist and architect whose works can be found in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Mexico City.
His work is classified as faux bois, a style or art technique devoted to imitating wood.
Rodriguez recreated wood from cement, creating sculptures and objects that can still be admired in cemeteries or parks.
"The Old Mill" is one of them. In 1939, the replica of a real mill appeared in the opening credits of "Gone with the Wind" and there it still stands in all its glory, attracting visitors again and again.
